Bay Window Custom Steel Screen Installation

   

The Brief:

A residential client requested the installation of custom screens for their front bay window. The objective was to enhance security while preserving the integrity of the property’s UPVC framework.

Customer Requirements:

• Secure the front bay window with custom screens.
• Utilize backing bars for additional support.
• Remove glass panes carefully to prevent damage.
• Ensure that the installation process does not compromise the UPVC frames.

 

Our Solution:

The installation required a tailored approach due to the complex design of the framework. Instead of conventional methods like screwing perforated steel sheeting directly into the frames, we devised a plan that involved:

1. 1. Careful Removal of Glass Panes: This was executed with precision to avoid any damage to the UPVC.
   2. Custom Screen Fabrication: Screens were made to fit the specific dimensions of the bay window.
   3. Installation of Backing Bars: These were integrated to enhance stability and security without causing harm to the existing structure.
   4. Final Installation: The screens were securely installed, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics.

 

The Outcome:

The process was initiated via email on Day 1, and by the end of Day 2, the installation was successfully completed.
