Fortify Solutions – Solid Steel Sheeting

The Brief:

We received a request from the client for Solid Steel sheeting to a double door entrance at a large office building complex in Manchester. The requirement was for the sheeting to cover the windows, using the inner frame to screw into. The door still had to open and close so the main specification was so that you could not see through glass and into the building and the door retained functionality.

 

 

Our Solution:

Our operatives met the client’s contact on site who showed where the door was and the two sheets, one for each pane, were installed into the framework. The sheets were ordered to size which is a little different from our normal perforated steel sheet solution which is cut to size on the job.

The Outcome:

The client was extremely happy with the end result. The comms between our operations team and the contact to meet on site were important to get right because of parking, health & safety and the liaison between the client and the office team. As you can see in the photos, the steel looked flush with the doors so aesthetically it wasn’t an eye sore, which in the case of timber boarding can sometimes look out of place. Overall a simple but effective job completed.
