The Windmill Pub – Steel Sheets, Security Doors & CCTV

The Brief:

The client contacted us mid-July to help secure this permanently closed Public House. However, there were squatters present in the property, of which it had been organised, prior to our attendance, for their safe removal via Police. Although the exterior and rear side of the Pub has had the misfortune of being Graffitied over recent times, this was not a requirement to remove.

The client requested to purchase the steel sheeting and door, rather than the option of hiring, on the basis of not knowing the timeframe of which the steel security would need to stay in place.

 

 

The Solution:

Our operatives attended to site to install 10 perforated steel sheets and a single security door, of which the client would then have access inside the building. The site was surveyed before entering and a complete walkaround and point of work risk assessment was completed.

 

The 10 sheets were cut to size to facilitate the various size openings dotted around the premises, as you can see in the photos. The door, around to the side of the building, replaced an old wooden door that was in very poor condition.

Subsequently, the client has requested a quotation for CCTV, to cover the perimeter of the rear of the building, of which there has been many instances of intruders. This will be followed up in due course. Our operatives have already noted of the best positioning for the detectors, should the service and install be required.

 

 

The Outcome:

Our client was extremely happy with the level of service carried out from start to finish and commented on the professionalism shown by our operatives for the entire time they were on site.
