Security Guarding, Steel and Timber site protection

The Brief

Our client required secure solutions for two office buildings in Croydon, which had previously been squatted. The buildings were set for major refurbishment post-eviction, necessitating immediate security measures to prevent further damage.

 

Customer Requirements:

The client requested that all ground floor openings be secured, acknowledging that the existing door and window frames, along with potential glass, could be damaged during the installation of security measures.

Our Solution:

Our team collaborated closely with the client, implementing a comprehensive security plan that included:

1. Concrete Barriers: Installed two concrete security barriers to prevent vehicle access to the rear car park.
2. Galvanised Steel Sheets: Fitted galvanised perforated steel sheets with anti-tamper screws into existing frames on all ground floor openings.
3. First Floor Security: Secured vulnerable rear first-floor balcony windows with similar galvanised perforated steel sheets.
4. Security Doors: Installed two vacant property security doors at the main entrances with timber-framed porches.
5. Fencing: Erected two heavy-duty temporary 2m high fence panels with combination padlocks to restrict pedestrian access.
6. Timber Cladding: Created timber frames clad in galvanised perforated steel sheets to block off trespasser access.
7. Security Guards: Deployed security guards to the site for coordination with installation operatives prior to commencing work.
