Needle Sweep in Worksop Station

The Brief:

Our client – railway station based in Worksop contacted us to clear station area of drug use evidence.  

It is a Grade II listed railway station which serves the town of Worksop in Nottinghamshire. Built in 1849 in Jacobean style, in 2018 underwent a refurbishment. This train station transformation positively contributed to the experience of the commuters and leisure travellers. The restoration works were done sympathetically to maintain its historical style.  

In 2021 drug use in the town centre became a prominent issue for Worksop residents. 

 

The Solution:

The above problem in the town centre was addressed by SafeSite Security Solutions team. We conducted a careful needle sweep in the station yard, as there was evidence of needle use and drug paraphernalia. This ensured the station area was cleared of contamination and comfortable for commuters using the railway every day. 

Security Solutions provided labour and 3 sharps containers to clear the station of needles. 

 

The Outcome:

The job was performed efficiently in 1 day. The customer was happy with the outcome and how quickly and efficiently we completed the works in order to make the station yard clean.
